At War

Well, it's finally here - the start of WWIII.  I don't believe this war will end where it's started and no doubt we'll be sucked into it, like we were in WWII.  At some point the details won't matter.

It's times like this that's particularly tough living alone.  There's no one within earshot to yell,

"Can you believe this?" or "Did you see that?"

...or to hash things out until you're comfortable with your stance, so I'll have to do it here to relieve, at least in part, my internal struggle.

My first reaction was, "Blast the shit out of them," without regard to innocent Palestinians.  But are there any?  How can an entire population accept living with terrorists underfoot - it's their own damn fault.

Well, the same can be said of us, can't it?  We live among Skinheads, Anti-Semites and Radical Politicians - but we can't exactly round them up and throw 'em in a concentration camp, which we oughta.

Look what I've become, I'm horrified.  I lay that blame squarely at the feet of Donald Trump, who has been the ringleader of our divisive society.  Can't get anything done in Washington, thanks to the so-called Freedom Caucus, don't dare blame Democrats for that fiasco.

Think about it:  during WWII, when Hitler was rampaging across Europe, America tried to stay out of it, even though Roosevelt, et al, knew he had to be stopped.  We supplied armaments to the 'good guys' without becoming involved; but what we really needed was a valid excuse and Voila!  Along came Pearl Harbor.

How different is the picture now:  Putin's rampaging across Ukraine; we're supplying armaments without becoming directly involved; and most people believe he should be stopped, somehow, somewhere.  Where will our excuse come from this time?  Poland?  Finland?

Well whaddaya know?

I haven't seen much on the news about demonstrations in our cities but I can't say I'm surprised.  Who ARE those Palastinian supporters waving flags and signs?  Why are we worrying about the southern border?

I'm proudly wearing my Hebrew (name) necklace, even though I'm not Jewish; and don't fear retaliation at all.   "Bring it on," as Kevin McCarthy would say, I'm reckless by nature.

So if you see a headline in the news:

"Oregon woman killed for wearing necklace,"

you'll know it's me.

And finally, someone made the point that we shouldn't call them Hamas Fighters - call them what they are:  Terrorists.

  1. The origin and root word of “barbarism”and “assassin” is Arabic
That says it all . In legitimate back and forth ,negotiations , I seem to remember Clinton was shocked that Israel offered somewhere between 95 and 98% of everything the other side demanded and they had the Audacity and idiocy to turn it down
Every expert thought it was hopeless because it proved they did NOT want PEACE ! They are a primitive people . I am so angry
