Class (def, adj): sophistication; elegance; integrity; high quality; you get the idea. Based on that, does the word, in any manner, describe our 47th President, unless you include the word low?
Donald Trump could have shown some class by not blasting the Episcopal Bishop but simply commenting that everyone is entitled to their opinion. But no, he's got to rant at midnight, calling her nasty and the like; nasty being his favorite adjective when referring to women.
I tried to be a good Libran in my opinion of the First Lady, but I no longer have any smidgen of respect, or compassion, for Melania. She knew Trump was a chauvinist on steroids; and by her 'loyalty' her husband has learned another lesson about getting away with something.
All FLOTUS cares about is playing Barbie for the next 4 years while occasionally pulling stellar slogans, like Be Best, out of her designer hat; am I the only one who thinks an article or possessive pronoun is missing between those two words?
As to their ethics: how many billions did they make hawking their shitcoins (that's what they're called) the days leading up to Inauguration Day? Trump has wanted revenge since being slighted by NYC elites and powers-that-be in the 1980s, and that means being at the top of the Billionaire Boys Club. He's got those guys over his proverbial barrel and loves it. You know he's revengeful; that's not a recent development. Everthing he has done and will do is focused on that goal.
Here's a news bulletin:
"Georgia Congressman Mike Collins has called for the deportation of the bishop who urged Donald Trump to “have mercy” on the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants."
Bishop Budde was born in New Jersey, and I'm always for fellow Jersey Girls. But what a thing to say. Mike Collins also demonstrates classiness, doesn't he? What an idiot - she should be deported?
I don't want to hear ONE MORE WORD about foreign countries releasing and dumping their dangerous prisoners into America and risking our lives. Not after the President's first day in office.
PLEASE...don't compare his pardons with Joe Biden's last minute pardons. "It implies guilt." Well, it used to, but that was before we had a vindictive, overgrown child-in-charge whose tantrums create real, physical danger.
No one's surprised, not really. He was overwhelmingly elected in the hopes that the price of eggs will drop, housing will be affordable, and we'll have a safe country. I'd like that, too, but I don't believe we'll see any, let alone all of those issues resolved. I hope I'm wrong and you're right.
Deportations have quickly shifted from Dangerous Criminals to "and any other illegals" who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Good, you say? Will you also be one of those who reports on their neighbors and families...after they proclaim that anyone who KNOWS of an Illegal Alien but fails to report them will be subject to arrest, or an even better incentive: FINED. After all, hope of better finances was the main reason for Trump's victory, isn't it? Billionaires are smiling.
There's a heartless man in the Oval Office and he's got a militia at the ready to act with impunity. It should frighten you at least a little.
Worrisome indeed!
ReplyDeleteI hope the saying, “What goes around, comes around” afflicts those who deserve it. Let karma strike and give those evil-doers the fate they deserve.
