Thursday night's debate was really hard to watch, I don't think it matters whether you're a D or R. Even the former president, who we all watched for different reasons, didn't jump on him, make too much fun or otherwise rattle President Biden. We'll still support him, unless something better comes along.
I don't understand why people hate Kamala Harris so much. I asked one of my few acquaintances with who I could talk politics that very question, and their answer did and didn't surprise me:
Shrug. "Because she's Black?"
Is that it? I thought I missed something...like she started a riot or pulled a fire alarm - no, wait, nothing happens if you do either of those.
To switch topics momentarily, I think the tsunami of Total Body Deodorant products is becoming increasingly rank. I made fun of Lume after their early commercials, still do; but now I feel badly for Dr. 72 Hours, since countless copy-cats are coming out of the woodwork. I never realized so many people have B.O. in so many places at once; or perhaps my schnoz doesn't work right.
If you're camping, yeah, I can see; or if you're homeless, but there's the cost. Perhaps the idea is to get us all to bathe less frequently to save water; does that have something to do with our 'footprint?'
Speaking of stinks, today's Supreme Court ruling granting Presidential Immunity is truly scary, and if you're not worried you should be. But time will tell which of us is right. So I heard Justice Sotomayer's argument, including,
"...if he organizes a coup to hold on to political power - immune."
I say, as long as the ruling applies to both men, then rather than worry about what Trump might do, let's beat him to the punch. Why can't Joe Biden call up the National Guard and hold on to power? Just because nobody expects him to do something crazy like that doesn't mean he can't.
