As I wrote in December, I'm feeling 100% better than I did 6 months ago. I'm energized once again; dragging out old projects and goals I've ignored for over a year; and deciding what, and who, is really important to me.
In that spirit, I sent out a good number of text messages, plus a few emails, to friends, wishing them the best in the coming year, ho ho ho.
But I heard nothing in response to my texts. It didn't really hit me until the 4th; at which point Amy began whispering,
"Nobody loves you; you're forgotten; you don't matter in anyone's life."
How depressing, huh? Fortunately, I quickly remembered that I had this problem once before with my Skype number (my primary mode of communication, since I don't know how to use my Smartphone). I'd also texted a question to my manager, who ALWAYS responds, so when I was in the office yesterday I asked if she got the message; Yes, but I couldn't send a response.
I began troubleshooting the problem, discovering that in some cases my messages hadn't even been delivered. I worked through it until ultimately uninstalling and reinstalling the program. What a silly whiner-baby...egg on face for sure. Good thing I didn't let Amy lash out, as she's done in the past.
In conclusion, MY New Year's Resolution is to have as few Egg-on-Face episodes in the coming year as possible. None would be nice, but I know my limits.
Happy New Year!
Glad you figured it out:)))))))
