1. I've said this before, charge the relatives of the (dead OR alive) shooter. Doesn't matter if they were aware of anything or not, charge them with SOMETHING. This may not prevent all future shootings, but if potential perpetrators know that someone else will take the blame perhaps they'll think twice, which sometimes is all you need.
2. STOP turning shooters into celebrities. Stop broadcasting their names, photos, details of their loser-lives. It's already practiced elsewhere in the world.
If the Powers that Be refuse to revise gun laws to prevent our slaughter, let's try a different tack instead of beating that horse. And if they object to Option #2, which seems pretty easy and cheap, then we'll really know how little they care about our lives.
Too bad Right to Lifers who are anti-abortion aren't as concerned with the lives of older children. I'd bet they could buy some Judge somewhere to promote their case.
