Online Movie Screening

I've mentioned Community First Village and the documentary showcasing the 25-acre tiny-home community in Austin, TX, for the chronically homeless. The director, Layton Blaylock, approached me several years ago when I first moved into the village as a Workamper (exchanging labor for a place to park my RV).  He asked me to participate in his film which, now completed, has been making the rounds of film festivals across the country...until Covid-19.

For that reason, Georgia Public Broadcasting is airing the eye-opening and inspiring film FREE to us all, and here's the information from Layton:

"I’m thrilled to announce that there will be an online screening of Community First, A Home for the Homeless on Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 CST.  It is being hosted by Compassionate Atlanta and sponsored by Georgia Public Broadcasting.  It will be free but you will need to register here (when you register be sure to create your OVEE account also - OVEE is the platform for the screening).  They have invited me to do a “live” introduction to the film.  There will also be a post screening discussion featuring several organizations that are helping our homeless brothers and sisters in Georgia. 

"Several of the conferences and community screenings that we had scheduled for this spring and early summer have been postponed or changed to online events.  I’ll keep you updated as these screenings get rescheduled.  In the meantime, I hope you and your loved ones will stay home and stay safe!
