I've been a Socialist since the '80s but I'm not a Bernie Sanders supporter. I do agree with most of his proposals, which will be impossible to pass through what will become a Republican-dominated Congress; and unfortunately the majority of his supporters don't get that. All they want is the Free Stuff.
Wha??? Free college tuition; forget college loans; free school lunches. Yes, yes and yes - in theory. But as someone who is still number 2,000-something on the Section 8 housing list, and expect to remain on that list for another year or two, free college tuition seems a luxury.
Tell a family living in their car with small children not to worry, because if their kids survive and stay out of jail, they'll get to go to college for free.
I heard an interview this morning and here's a quote from one Sanders supporter:
"If Bernie's not the candidate, I'll vote for Trump."
Really? This is one of his informed, enlightened supporters?
