Reds

Back in my own ancient history,  the book I chose to review was  about Anarchy.  Suddenly, I was watching Reds, vowing to learn Russian, and drinking vodka martinis.  It was a short paperback and I can’t remember the title, but while one’s first impression of anarchy is hostility; pure anarchy, at least as that book described, sounded pretty fair.

Just like pure Socialism.  But what happens, like religions, is that the basic concept gets mucked up by too many people until the original principles  become cloudy.  In my humble opinion.   

Now lest I have Homeland Security on my como-se-llama, let me just say that alls I want is for everyone to receive their fair share...

 “Why can’t I have a hit, at this late stage in life?”  Grandma Moses is my latest role model.  If she could make it at her age, there’s hope for me, still.Wouldn’t it be nice if instead of the same authors having book after book published, followed by splashy movie deals, the success was spread around a bit more equitably?  Of course, the same can be said for actors, politicians, musicians, designers, athletes, artists, TV evangelists and dictators.  Where’s the harm?

I find myself asking people to take me with a grain…tongue-in-cheek, because there is a large Christian, God-fearing population here which I could easily offend.  In my current quest for justice in America, I’m more careful when communicating with officials and people in general.   My grievance is based on an old episode, reported in  My Karma ran over My Dogma.

I’m not going to go into more detail here; this is supposed to be a light-hearted blog.  But it’s why I’ve been silent in posting of late.  That, plus having my email hacked after submitting (not replying to) a Craigslist posting, I've since learned (WARNING, unsavvy computerites like me).

And finally, this morning, I had a very real fear that my meager bank account had been wiped out by said hacker.  I have one thing to say to those people:

"Why don't you pick on people your own byte-size?"
